Abstract

Novels are literary works of human feelings that are present in the midst of society as a form of imagination from an author. One of the novels that is starting to develop now is titled Bright by Jessica Jung. Former member of the girl group SNSD or Girls' Generation officially released the book Bright. The latest novel released by Jessica Jung, Bright describes how the main character Rachel was forced to leave her group, Girls Forever because she had her own fashion brand.

Based on the background and limitations of the problem stated above, it can be formulated as "How the informative, communicative, effective Illustration Art Concept design of the Bright novel will be able to attract the attention of readers, while observing the visual art and values in the Bright novel story. adapting the story as the basis for ideas in creating character concept designs as artbook illustrations in the Bright novel

The purpose of this design is to visualize the story concept in the Bright novel to produce an attractive illustration design so that this book is made to provide an overview with a conceptual delivery through a visual concept consisting of character design, and place illustrations, into the Artbook Graphic Novel as a creative medium for delivering visual stories entitled Bright in the process of producing book media, especially the concept of artbook graphic novels.Kata Kunci : Concept Art, Visual, Ilustrasi, Bright
